Awareness

Awareness

A Poem by Kathy Van Kurin
"

Awareness of the life within.

"
Swelling intensity,

 Overflowing Christ reality;

Coursing strength and power,

Water of life my drink;

I the growing seed,
Pure awareness, vacuum filled.

in time bearing fruit.

Jesus holds and supports me;

Dependency on His Spirit,

Pure relief. My release!

I don't know if i'm religious anymore. Not sense we had to put down our 16 year old shepherd mix who was filled to his eyeballs with arthritis and cancer . Not since it was pointed out to me that no where in the holy scriptures does it say that dogs have souls, and thus, will not be in heaven with us. WTF! And while Richard Branson is preparing a rocket ship to take people to Mars. And since the rest of us poor and lonely souls are relegated to writing about the soothing mysticism of a heavenly monarchy, I still know how to love and appreciate someone else's love and appreciation.....great poem.....dana

You totally rock. I tell people to "Trust in God" or also to "Trust in Jesus." You go girl! We have to believe love and tolerance are there and in the life eternal. You got some of them on your side, right?

I am giving you 100. I try to answer my reviews with another review. This was so beautiful, and remember that you have a friend in Jesus!

i love this .. i am also in need of the Christ and claim His great helping hand .. the metaphor could not be better .. your poem breathes safety and warmth for me ..
its an election year in America and my thoughts always go to the rights and dignity of unborn children .. aside from all the case specific arguments for me the continuity and potential seen in newborns to the aged starts with conception ..all the science is there at that moment .. but hey ..that's a whole big hornets nest to poke isn't it ;}

The Lord is good all the time!
To have faith and to trust that the universe will buoy you along the river of life and all will be fine is the greatest gift of all. To shed little by little each layer of conditioning we have wrapped ourselves in will serve to make us lighter and even understand that we have the capability to float free, for when we can float free the light, we light will shine out and remind us of our oneness once again...

your words are a lovely reminder to simply live and look at the gift of life - then appreciate the beauty of it all X

Well there you go...............Iv'e been told! We are all so very very different. I love it!
Kathy, we can only hope to lead a life with the intention of being as good as we can be. We all have our failings, it's how we deal with them that counts.
