The Graveyard

The Graveyard

A Poem by Kacie Delane Davis

Tired and Feeling cold
Walking on this road alone
Just looking for some company

Further down this winding road
I see a graveyard calling out to me
Deserted and empty
But oddly homie

The wire bench under the skeletal tree
And those cold stone graves
Look so welcoming

Maybe I'll hangout here
with the dead
Who feel...just like me

thank you very much. i value your opinion
The graveyard creates a great backdrop for the feelings of loneliness and isolation.
