Summer Rain

Summer Rain

A Poem by Kimberly Navarro

I am the sun.
But you are the rain.
And when you come
My earth saturates.

Like a sun shower in the summer
I've quenched my thirst for a lover.
Like the summer rain, my special friend
Puts me to sleep, and wakes me up again.

You are to me
Like the morning dew
At the break of dawn
I'm soaked in you.

Nights with you are awesome.
I look forward to days
When your sun rays
Penetrate, and I blossom.

Like waterfalls, my body drips
When you kiss my top and bottom lips.

Like misty rain
You ease my pain.
You're just enough
To make me sane.

I desire you like the desert thirst for precipitation.
When you are gone I long for you with anticipation.
You are to me like a meditation.
In you I fine peace and consolation.

I can hear your voice for hours.
Your words to me are like the rain
That wet my soul like flowers.

Like the summer rain and the morning dew
I'm blessed to have been in touch with you.

"Puts me to sleep, and wakes me up again..."

Nice choice of words, loved the depth of your lines. It's so sophisticated and well painted ov'r the warmth of yours ... your love - the devotion to someone's heart's seemed absolutely devoted

"You are to me like a meditation.

How true and magnificent choice of words. Yeah, in love, one the one thing's belonged to "mediation" that further belongs to the shadow - one glimpse of lover ... where the peace, love and lights're being found in the core of such pleasurable delectations'. Nice shot. Looking forward to reading "you"!

Sighhh*
Gosh, Kim … what more could a poem enfold of beauty, romance, passion, softness, sensuality, desire … all the tender emotions that tug at my core, awakening the man of me to be pulled into you, your moments, the nuances, and timbre of feeling so vivid I could live inside your skin … ohhh, Yes, and what a sensation it is to surrender to your effulgent warmth … *sighhh!
Combining human emotions and sensations with the imagery of Nature's textures, colors, and beauty, creates poetic moment that sweep me away … thank you sooo much for that. ; )

I love it, Kim, what else … I embrace you, your wondrous poetic skills, the irresistibly alluring Lady you are and know how to be! ⁓ Richard

This is truly vivid and drew me into the poem. I like that you didn't follow a pattern in the poem.

It's only "silly" when it doesn't leave the aftertaste of real - and this is one that left a "real" warmth and smile behind.
