![]() The last leafA Poem by lakki
It was his last leaf and it falled yesterday
Deeds written on its sides Roots standing for another life An unusual heritage he left behind "Crys, longings, and a staunch wife!" That frozen figure of yours never brings you back But a prove of you pumping air How long would your name be said? To what island has he sailed ? Your too lucky more than you had guessed That young girl you had protected once Has grown up to dedicate A profound piece of her heart. © 2014 lakkiFeatured Review
