I don't get it!!

This is just a few observations about our site here. This is meant to be 'tongue in cheek' and not harsh criticism. Enjoy!

There are three rather strange features of this site. Have others noticed these features? ( or non features?)

#1. When I go to 'Online Writers' I will see something like this. 331 writers online. 153 members and 178 guests. Who the heck are these 'guests' and why do they outnumber the members? A membership is free, so why are there so many nonmember guests? Who are these shy people?

#2. Why does a particular writers status always start with the single word "I'm"?  Do the powers at be at this site of writers really believe that the start of our status sentences should always start with " I'm"?  Can I be the only writer who believes this to be odd?

#3. Why is there not a real time chat feature somewhere on this site for writers to chat with one another? Haven't the powers that be at this site ever heard of an IM chat service like Yahoo messenger or MSN messenger? There is forum here. But when I checked it out the last entry by a writer at the forum it said:  "two weeks ago".   lol 

I love this site so far. I have already made some friends. But these oddities make me wonder a bit.

there are people out there that like to read poetry and stories but may not write them...Status I'm..I suppose we are always in the verb status in life..but I agree with you it's a silly feature..and I can't imagine chat on here..I would never get any reviewing or reading done..LOL

i agree with this. lol seems odd enough. its bothered me the status starts with im. every time i want to write a status, i have to reword it to fit with the im. its annoying lol

Your thoughts mimic mine...a wonderful writing site...always room for improvement ...always some glitches...I like that you address these like this...sometimes we wonder as you stated, "Am I the only one to notice these!"

good points here.. I somewhat agree with point #2.. I find it funny that I have to always curve my line into fitting in with the cemented beginning of 'Im'.

those non members are the stalkers..watching..without reviewing.. you can block them from viewing your work..check out the bottom when you write a piece it gives you options..

because they blocked someone that they don't like and they want in their account to see if they are writing about them, so they can go and create a fake account I presume and attack the person. It's been done to me. I think it's kind of childish for people to do this.

Also if you look at the new members you will see numerous accounts with no writes. Why create a account and not write? it doesn't make sense to me. Who are these ghost and why are they here. these people I am suspiscious of.

Actually this is a good topic you brought up. It is kind of humorous
about the number thing. Go figure.
