chapter 5. fun in the sun

When they got to the beach sasuke set the towels down and set up the umbrella on a nice spot in the sand. Sakura took of her cover-up and sat down under the umbrella.
“ICE CREAM!” there was a man selling ice cream on a rolling cart.
“want some ice cream?” asked sasuke. “Ummm, sure!” she said and got up and ran over to the cart with sasuke following close behind. “haha, hey, wait up!” laughed sasuke as sakura pulled him by his wrist to the ice cream stand. When they got there sakura ordered a coconut ice pop and sasuke got a cotton candy one. “here ya go” sasuke paid the man for the ice cream. “Thanks sasuke-kun!” she said and kissed him on the cheek and then ran off back to the umbrella. Sasuke laughed and started running back to the umbrella after her.
As they sat on there towels, smiling and making a mess while eating their ice cream, ino came up to sakura and said “hey billboard brow, what do u think your doin just hangin out with sasuke like this?!?”
“for your information , ino pig!.. me and sasuke are going out now! what you cant tell?”
“wha…WHAT!?!? U must be going insane billboard brow!!!”
“well ask him your self if you don’t believe me, Ino pig!!”
ino turned to sasuke, who had been listening to the whole conversation and did nothing but nod at ino with a smile and get back to his ice cream. Ino’s evil smirk then turned in to a disapointed frown. “but sasuke-kun??? I though…” “you though nothing ino!” said sasuke “I love sakura!”
ino stomped away on the sand back to were shikamaru sat under their umbrella.
“what happened?” asked shikamaru asked with no real enthusiasm.
“uhhgg!… oh nothing…”  she said
“what ever” he said.

Sasuke went over to sakura’s towel and sat down behind her with his legs on both sides of her. He kissed her on the cheek from behind and smiled. She smiled and blushed.
All the other students who were whatching sakura and ino’s commotion were still watching when sasuke kissed her. Most mouths were a gape.

“why don’t we go out to swim?’ asked sakura. “sure, ok!” said sasuke. He got up and held out his hand to sakura. She took it and got up, and they started walking towards the ocean. When they got to the shore line they stood there holding each others hands and staring down were the water came up and hit there feet. “ahh!” sakura shivered. “it’s cold!” “haha! It’s not that cold!” said sasuke. “come on!” he pulled sakura into the water until it came up to their belly buttons. Sasuke picked her up and spun her around and then dropped her in the water. She came back up laughing and started to splash sasuke.
They both laughed and splashed each other until sasuke picked her up and brought her over to a near by rock in the water and sat down on it.
“there’s a nice view up here, sasuke-kun!” she said soaking wet and smiling. “Yeah I know!” he said. “did you know about this place?” asked sakura. “no, I just saw it and thought it would be a good place to be alone.”
“oh.” She said with a giggle. Sasuke put his wet arm aroung her wet shoulder and they watched the morning sun over the sea. That is until….
