chapter 9. report of the missing gemstone

heh verry new and this one was also fun to write

"well, you guys are assigned to rescue this girl" said lady tsunadae, as she handed a picture of a tiny beautiful girl out to the three students.
they all gazed at it ponderously. "shes adorable!" yelped sakura in a high pitched voice.
"indeed" said lady tsunade calmly, " and shes only 7 years old!
shes been kidnapped by an old family friend" the three young ninja's stared in wonder.
"her father was asked by his friend if his son would have his daughter's hand  in marriage when they grew old enough.
her father denied his request and..."
she stopped mid sentence
"the so called friend kidnapped her?" asked sasuke now again perfectly emotionless in the face of the adults.
"correct..." she handed them  a picture of a tall, skinny, light haired man; with a perfect devious smile on his face
standing next to the cheerful father of the small girl.
"her name is Lace."
"like for clothing?" asked naruto.
"no, naruto; the gem stone, lace agate"
"it looks kind of like the sky." said sakura with  a smile to naruto. "it has layers of pale and baby blue and white."
naruto just stared at the picture of the small girl in sasuke's hand.
"oh" he muttered softly, completely lost in thought.
"you will be traveling to the hidden grass village to find her. it shouldn't be to hard local security says
the man hasn't left his house in days.  ill give you the address."
"why are they getting us to do this? don't they have ninja?" asked sasuke.
"they do but taki is quite strong. hes been a ninja for thirty years, and hes still alive to tell stories.
and you guys are the most powerful team across the fire country"
the boys seemed so unsurprised at this new found knowledge, both gloating in their heads.
sakura was the only one who seemed surprised at all. "since when?" she asked much more serious
then either of the boys could have sounded if they talked just then.
"since the news has spread. its not that big a deal,don't go getting a big head." she turned from sakura
to glare at the two boys grinning ear to ear. they straightened up immediately.
" well, here's the address." she scribbled on a piece of paper on her desk folded it and handed it to sasuke,
without looking up from her desk.
"bring her home." she said silently face down towards an open book on her desk. "bring her back."
all four nodded in silence and turned and walked out of the room. kakashi started speeding down the hall.
"come on guys" he said in a serious tone and kept walking.
when they got to the top floor lobby he rushed to the window and jumped out.
"whats the rush for?" asked naruto silently to sasuke.
sasuke stood behind naruto who was sitting on the window cill, his legs dangling out side.
"i think i know." sasuke was staring at the back of the picture of the two men.
"what?" said naruto more serious now.
"look there's a description on the back..." sasuke's head faced the ground, sakura stood behind him,
her hands around his waist, wondering what was going on.
naruto stared at the writing for  a moment with a puzzled expression.
"he...murdered...his wife?!?!" naruto screamed and anxiously looked up at sauke, who was still looking at the floor.
"what?!?!" sakura yelped. "it says it right there!" he paused "charged for the murder of his wife jannette,
but let out early for...GOOD BEHAVIOR..." he quoted, almost unable to udder the words.
"oh...my...goodness..." sakura said wide eyed staring at the writing.
all of a sudden kakashi popped in the window upside down.
"c'mon!!! guys we need to go!" he said rather loud.
"yes kakshi sensai!" they all yelled startled by the random appearance.
they all flipped one after the other out of the window and on to the roof. they started leaping from roof top to roof top
until they got to the edge of konaha and landed at the gates.
"hay naruto,sasuke,sakura,kakashi!" said the men at the gate.
kakashi replied with a quick hey and led the young ninja's out to the Forrest road.
