Nothingness

Nothingness

A Poem by Louisa Chan
"

Does this one make any sense to you? Please feel free to comment. Thank you : )

"

Nothing thinks she

Nothing feels better than nothing

Nothing goes through

Nothing hides underneath

Nothing says she

Nothing sounds louder than nothing

Speaks more than nothing

Lasts longer than nothing

Nothing comes

And nothing goes

An equilibrium

As Day One

Let it be, smiles she

Let nothing come before me

It makes a whole lot of sense Louisa. Is a very fine bit of poetry. Not sure what your concerns are, but the lines scan extremely well and the sense of what you are driving at is clear. Nothing is not necessarily nothing depending on where your standing looking at the empty space

With nothingness comes peace. Removing all thoughts running through the mind. Meditation can work wonders I am told , I just wish it worked for me, an insomniac. The repetition works very well here Louisa. Long may you enjoy your nothingness time. Hope all is well with you.

Thank you my dear friend.
All the best with your sleep too...
Love, Louisa
I've heard that Shaolin monks seek to remove ambition from their lives in an effort to attain inner peace and control over their bodies and minds. An emptying out of the self may bring us harmony with the world around us. But can we focus on others without a sense of self? Can we measure the personal desires and needs of others without taking inventory of our own? It's an interesting philosophical question. But I do honestly believe we should all find a small portion of time each day to find peace where we can whether it be in prayer, meditation or in simply doing nothing. I enjoyed the read.

Thank you Fabian.
I also believe some of the Buddhist teachings - that there's no "self"ness .. read more
and as Billy Preston sang..."nothing from nothing means nothing, you gotta have something...if you wanna be free"
nothing is more than nothing and nothing is less than nothing.
It makes perfect sense to me...but then these days....I want nothing more in life than everything I have now.
