This Place

How certain places can have an emotional value to someone.

This place

Was where we first kissed,

Where we first loved.

 

This place

Was both our first minute

And our last visit.

 

The summer breeze,

That brought us together,

I can still feel it

As the winter brings along the cold weather.

 

The cold winter breeze

Touches my bare skin

As I pass this place

Where we’ve only once been.

 

This place

I visit when I’m in pain,

For a trip down memory lane.
