The Visit

The Angels held a meeting

Beyond the clouds above.

One said " We must take this poor soul back"

"They have suffered long enough"

 

"But who will go to fetch them?" one asked,

"i fear its nearly time"

The smallest angel of the group stood up and said

"I think this task is mine "

 

Descending  on soft downy wings,

To where the chosen lay .

With movements soft as a babys breath,

Draws close and begins to say .

 

"Please dont be scared for i have come"

"To offer you re-birth"

"An end to all this suffering "

"You just cant find on Earth"

 

" Our journey is going to take us "

" To a place thats vast and grand "

" Dont worry about your loved ones "

" In time they will come to understand"

 

" So take my hand and one last breath"

" Your time on earth is done "

" You have fought so bravely through it all "

" But now this battle cant be won "

 

Asscending ever skywards

The poor soul being gently led

The only proof an angel came to earth

A soft white feather  on the bed.

just didn't understand this one line...

~ An angel stops by for a visit, it could be a pain to those on earth, but it is a pain-release to the one who suffers. ~

This is just wonderful, I'm glad a friend sent a request for me to read, and allow me to share it with others as well. My favourite stanza would the last one, especially the last two sentences, "The only proof an angel came to earth; A soft white feather on the bed." Might be a sad story, but simply turn into the opposite perspective, it is just simply a relief.
