Box Rain Dark

Box Rain Dark

A Poem by Marc Marlon Villaflor
"

The Saga of my undying love.

"

Spirit, light, shade and dark

I am mysteriously in love with you

The sun, the moon and the stars

I pray to the heaven above that you are the one

Hands, kisses, and hugs.

I wish tomorrow will come with promises of real love

Rainbow, jewel stone, and fire

Passionate love we both enjoy and cherish

Storms, big waves and earthquakes

I’m wondering if we could build a life together

                            Space, empty room and box

Now my life has no direction

Clouds, rain and tears

Now I have lost you

Box…Rain…Dark Goodbye my love

I love what you did with this poem. Nature just naturally calls out to me in ways that nothing else can. Whether it be in connection to spiritual things or love, nature feels honest. Great title. Each three word choices has me stopping to receive from it.

Evocative. The ability to express the emotion of love and loss in a short space is rare.

Looove this. Sad but eleganty perfected, words flow harmoniously as if it's a heart broken I need you back kind of letter. Outstanding piece.

The lack of love often leaves us in shadow; and until the light of love shines its blissful rays into our lives, we never really discern just how much in the dark we really are.

You start out with "spirit, light, shade, and dark," progressing to "sun, moon, stars, and heaven."

Then there's "hands, hugs, and kisses" and a "wish and promises of real love."

Then comes the "wonder, the empty room, the lack of direction, clouds, rain, tears, and loss."

Sadly, this is very much the progression of love --- the youthful abandon, the hopeful heart, and the passage to promise that winds up becoming a dustbin of despair.

Your journey is known, discerned, and felt by us all.

Great job.
