Dark Hours

Dark Hours

A Poem by Mk.t.g
"

"Is there anyone who's afraid of losing me?"

"
No one to comfort me in my darkest hour
Everything withered away like a flower
I'm surrounded by people all around
Yet I haven't been found

I wanted someone to hold me tight
And take me on a plight
Away from all these thoughts
Which has left me distraught

Wondering why you weren't there
When I was trapped in a snare
I looked out for you
But you went through

Mk.t.g
A quick piece I penned down. I wrote this because I felt alone and lost, even with all my friends and people surrounding me. It's just a triggering feeling when you can no longer be who you are in front of them when you can no longer expect something from them.. and the only thing that's holding you back is the treasured memories you once made with them.

very relatable. loneliness is a state of mind regardless of circumstances or presence. an uncomfortable read but truth can do that sometimes. a worthy read ... :)

This is very real. There are times we feel alone even in the presence of others. But, you are truly not alone even though you may think otherwise. Great read.

Thanks for reading!
I know that feeling of being within a crowd of friends and yet feeling so alone. Completely disconnected, it can happen. You are waiting for that connectivity and it isn’t happening. You express your emotions so well here my friend. Well penned.

You are welcome:)
it is tough when our friends are only there for the good times, but when the chips are down,
the party empties out ...and we are left cleaning up the mess of our lives, all by ourselves.

Thanks for reading, Jacob! very relatable words you wrote here
You know, I know this feeling. Perhaps not for the same reasons but I do know it. Often I feel so alone while in the midst of a crowd. Often I wonder if anyone really understands me or even knows me. Does what I perceive of myself equal what they feel and see? I may never know the answer but...unlike what your poem states, I am always myself whether others like it or not. Bu, I do understand that feeling as well.

for something jotted down quickly you sure put a lot of emotion and feelings into this. Really nicely done.
