Can you feel the painting?

Can you feel the painting?

A Poem by MandaBear
"

I wrote this about a crying painting. I had some help from a friend getting the idea's out but I got them out :) Thanks Jay:)

"
So much emotion in silence.
Colors running down an unfinished face,
The eyes cry color yet its so black and white.
So much of the canvas left  untouched.

Splashing the pigment across a remorseless backdrop.
Filling in the lines of the undrawn elements.
Features that could have stood, so strong,
Took in nothing more than idle glances.

Instead, the emptiness devours and consumes,
Its dream of ever becoming a masterpiece.
Nothing in this world would have been better.
But, alas a tear of red paint comes running down.

The silence is ever stronger,
What could have been a vibrant creation.
Is reduced to a puddle of mixed colors,
Shattered dreams and lackluster beauty.

The history of art is taught yet,
Nothing ever tells you why the painting is great.
A painting is not what it sees but what it feels.
A craft that only a painting can translate using only its optical existence.

This poem captures the vast essence of all forms artistic expression. Beauty is subjective and your creative expression here is beautiful to me. These three lines sum up my emotional reaction very well...
