Sexting and Cyber bullies

Sexting and Cyber bullies

A Poem by Mica L. Bennett

Pictures of her
sent to a boy.
she believed it was love
but it lead to no joy.

He shared with his friends
The photos at school.
Soon they were viral.
She felt like a fool.

She checks her facebook
just to find smut.
What used to be friends
now call her a s**t.

She goes to her room
and cries herself dry.
She has this feeling
of wanting to die.

She drowns herself
with a bottle of pills.
she is sad, she is hurt.
In her lungs water fills.

Sexting is wrong.
cyberbullying too.
Watch what you post.
Watch what you do.

this is something that way too many young teenagers are facing!

this poem should be shared on every website in every teen magazine!!

but it isn't always the guy whos the dick and sending them around..my ex best friend...yes the same one who i wrote my poems about... :/ she was and is the biggest guy in the fact that she does this to guys!! she gets them to send her photos of whats in their pants then shows everyone and they all start mocking the guys on size! i think she deserves a smack on the face so should every guy or girl who has ever done such a thing!!!!!!!! what gives them the right to expose someone elses privacy??

wow i very much agree with the message!

and i find your use of structured rhyming and stanzas very very admirable!

feel free to be my critic, but i have to say that maybe you should avoid words like "s**t" and maybe use something like "tart" or something (even though i know that would mess up your rhyming) - (100/100)

I agree that it's a problem, but theres no feeling to it. I would've added something like "What had she done?" , "'so much for frendship, so much for love, so much for the world who hated her in a click..." I don't really know.... It has good content, but it needs feeling :(

This is true. I think everyone should be aware of this and that a lot of people can take the chance to read it. It's great also that you feel for the ones going through this.

Well done.

This happens all the day and everyday. I wish i could do something to stop it and I try to with my friends, but some people are just too trusting and believe it will never happen to them, and then it does and you find out who your true friends are, and those who leave you to destroy yourself. This poem should be shared to the world; its an ongoing cccurance and needs to be tamed/stopped. very well done in capturing the effect cyberbulling/sexting does to a person.

Yes the girls are just as bad as the boys, good for you for pointing that out.

It's sad that this happens and has always happened. Before texting we had bathroom stalls in which to advertise.

Very noble write.

Excellent message!

I know it seems like would probably only happen to younger people but it happens to people over 30, too. Vulnerable people, no matter what age, need to be careful...

Absolutely right. Never put anything into e-mail you don't want the whole world to see--especially pictures. You can't trust anyone.
