Blazing Fireworks

Blazing Fireworks

A Poem by Poetic Beauty
"

A poem I wrote for Poetry and Lyrical Challenge group

"
Blazing colors illuminate the night sky;
Thunderous booms disturb the silence.
Squawking birds begin to scatter and fly.

Vibrant hues of every beautiful shade;
Splash against the blacken velvet scene;
Silently, the show is over and begins to fade.

Smoke circles filling the stagnant cool air;
As oxygen rushes from healthy lungs
The heart descends, for he is no longer there.

Dreams how deceitfully convincing they can be;
For love once blazing with color and fire,
Has escaped, showing the past, and leaving reality.

All those fireworks, all that colours .. just as love can be described .. great metaphor there .. sad the ending, memories maybe not as colourful as the could be.

A lovely but sad poem, beautifully written .. 'Vibrant hues of every beautiful shade; Splash against the blacken velvet scene; Silently, the show is over and begins to fade.'

Okay so I..... Loved this poem. I loved the imagery and the way you show us the Fireworks with your words and flow. This poem is simply art in poetry. This is my fave stanza:
"Dreams how deceitfully convincing they can be;
For love once blazing with color and fire,
Has escaped, showing the past, and leaving reality."

The poem was amazing. The description made the fireworks come alive. I like the wisdom in the last lines. The days gone should leave us and the reality of life come back too quickly to face us again. A excellent poem.

A great comparison. It really conveys the feeling of an ending of something magnificent. Your description is great!

I'm in love with the line "Splash against the blacken velvet scene"....You've colored my imagination with the imagery in this poem! ㋡

This was beautiful. The imagery was so good that I would still know it was fireworks even if you didn't tell me. Wonderful write!

I like it. The imagery and contrasts are nice. I would work on the meter:

"Vibrant hues of every beautiful shade;
Splash against the blacken velvet scene;
Silently, the show is over and begins to fade."

Just needs a slight tweak.
