Awakining

The beginning of the beginning.

     A deep burning emerged in my stomach, I screamed and opened my eyes, I blinked rapidly and could see only darkness. I screamed more and more until, finally the light of day shone through cracks in the splintered wood that surrounded me. I pounded on wood above me, I heard a muffled voice, but couldn't make it out. The wood above me fell away and I was blinded by the new light, bright and pure white. I shut my eyes, but eventually peeked through them, slowly my vision turned from fuzzy static to sharper than I had ever seen before. I sat up but the room spun around me, I closed my eyes and tried relaxing, but failed.

     "Calm, breathe, in through your nose, hold, then out through the mouth."

     I breathed shaky, then followed the voices direction and then opened my eyes.

     "Hi." the youth said.

     "Hello."

     "I...hmm...this is interesting."

     "You ended the world, now I will begin it again."

     "I suppose so, you knew it from the beginning then?"

     "Yes...I assume time travel is available now?"

     "Very rare, but yes.'

     "I need to go back to tell my younger self then."

     "shouldn't you rest?"

     "I can't, not yet."

     "fine...don't die in transit."

     "I will try my best not to, I wil come back injured."

     "How do you know?"

     "I nearly killed my future self."

     "Oh...you survive though?"

     "Yes."

     "Fine...follow me, when you can."

     "Ten, or twenty six?"

     "Twenty six thousand years, including the years you were dead."
     "Then let's go."

     He nodded.
