Back in Your Arms Again

Back in Your Arms Again

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell

Never have I seen a range so grand.

This is far,

But everything I expected.

It’s like the sands here have no limit.

It’s like an ocean

I follow my dreams down

Till I’m back in your arms again.

Hope is a lesson a little off putting

When you learn “they” stands for

The choices you can’t effect in any way.

I’ve see the advantage of limits

And if I work from within.

I can win the moment somewhen.

And I’ll be back in your arms again.

Out here the road is cold.

Bitter coy and without a soul.

The sky is beautiful

Just an inch off the horizon.

Far away from home

With nothing more than the dream of being.

Back in your arms again.
