Killer in the Camp

Killer in the Camp

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell
"

A song inspired by a scary epuisode of psych...

"

The phone rings, she wakes up.

That’s how it begins

It’s someone you saw earlier

Calling to say hi again.

He’s in the window behind you

Back into the shadow he creeps

Walks back up the stairs

And falls back to sleep.

Then sees a knife in her dreams

Dripping with blood then she screams.

What's going on here?

It’s like a an old movie scene.

She’s so scared at home

In this big house all alone.

No one’s supposed to come here

No one is supposed to know

Chorus

There’s a killer in the camp

And he’s coming for you now.

He’s running through the night

And he has you in his eyes.

Plan laid, trap set

Tonight he's there to kill.

But he's not in her room.

He's hiding something near.

A noise in the next room

That just might be it.

Yeah, he's really there

And it’s either you or him

The final act plays out

How will she win.

She's stuck behind a door

And there's another way in.

And he stops to think for a second

At least she wished that he had

He runs his knife through her heart

Wiped the blood off with his hand.
