that girl

that girl

A Poem by Muhammad Qasim
"

humans hate those who are superior!!

"

They saw that hideous face

..

That ugly body

..

Those beastly hands

..

Her grisly orange eyes

..

That horrid face

..

Her frightful heart

..

But never they saw

..

Beneath

..

All that

Loathsome appearance

..

 The

Kind hearted

Dazzlingly

..

Beautiful

..

Refined

..

Elegant

..

Charming

..

Personality of hers!!

..

And they

Destroyed her

..

Without even touching!!

We fear and destroy what we do not understand. Wouldn't it be grand if we all understood that we are part of each other? Connected and dependent, wouldn't that be the real beginning of humanity? Very great write here, particular impacted by the ending to destroy someone without touching.

It's too bad how so many people judge based off of appearances. :( Knowing the true person beneath is the most important. Excellent poem!(:

Thank you!!
Lovely write like judging a book by its cover rather then its content. As a society its seems always style over substance.

Powerful description led the reader on a interesting journey. I had to read again to grasp the very good ending. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.

well thanks alot .. it means alot : )
this is a very powerful, emotive write, brilliantly conveying how sad and demeaning it is to one's soul, how most of society never looks past appearances, instead of looking into another's heart. i agree, this is indeed thought provoking, speaking the truth, this is how one descends into such utter despair in which the person can then in turn start hurting themselves. beautifully written, and a poem that definitely needed to be spoken (written) about. 100/100 - adds this to my favorites..

hehe .. thank you and you too .. take care : )
that was so thought provoking..the theme is so apt and is having a strong powerful message in it....it's the heinous part of the human which destroys others.leading them to the black dark ocean of despair...."envy".one of the foulest feeling in human...you have depicted that in your poem in a very elegant way.i liked it..it does not only destroys othrs but also the one who is the vessel of such feelings...the last line was just so touching...you have penned the human nature very nicely and i also like the use of the diction......awesome work!.thanks for sharing it with us!!!!!1

I loved reading this! It spreads a powerful message to everyone. It's true with the society that we're living in these days, people judge with your appearance. I'm a firm believer in judging from within and if they have good looks, that's just a plus. I rather have a funny, sensitive, and caring guy than some surfer guy with abs that treats me like crap. I think personalities get overlooked way too much! As every generation passes by, it's shown that my statement is true too. There has been too many hearts and feelings hurt from people's opinions about their appearances, but when they're truly beautiful. What makes a person beautiful is what lies within. Someone might say that their crush is fine....but they start to change their mind once they see the uglyiness from within shining onto the outside. You thoroughly penned this topic and I did enjoy reading! Keep up the good work!! :)
