Head Chasing Tail

Head Chasing Tail

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

i was downstairs watching TV; a poem birthed to mind; i paused the show and ran upstairs; immediately had no idea what my "inspiration" had been. so here to you now is my head chasing tail.

"
Head Chasing Tail
I lost the most important elf
my thoughts to write and bring
to you my friends and neighbors same;
a place where angels sing.
you see my friends, as muse unfurled
my hand was not so quick
i could not find a paper scrap
nor pen nor candles wick;
and so in darkness i appealed
to memory short and lost
to clue to me the mystery
of poems lost in frost.

I had a great review all ready to go, but my fingers forgot what my mind said lol. Personally, I can not relate to this at all...smirk. A friend of mine suggested a pocket recorder. A great idea, if I could remember to get one when I'm out.
You are a phenomenal writer, E!

Indubitably my ole mate...
:) This made me smile. I love the title and the poem too. We have these moments of inspiration sometimes that we feel are so important and they dissolve too quickly sometimes, as if a dream. I wonder if that is what hope is all about. We know something is within our grasp so we try to find it.

Einstein Noodle,
I thought of honesty. Honest to true thoughts and center; that is not trying to communicate who we are not......................................Good portrayal for me. Last line- lost in frost. Smile, smile. Blessings, Kathy

Witty and musical.. two facets to a grand poem.. ahhhh - enjoyable and a lesson in how to = two more.. The more one reads, the more one sees, the more seen the more there is to remember. Listen to the air, is it there? Yes, where? Don't know, somewhere""

Love the tone of this, tickles the right place like a circle of red felt pen. .

when I read this a thought of my own came to mind, it is one that has been rolling around in my head for the past few days. It's about just how much our mind drifts, quite often, all the time. I have been obd=serving my mind drifting - firstly when I Meditate, actually a great place to observe thoughts dancing to their own jig. Then other times such as when I am listening to an audiobook whislt out with the Dodgeman, I have been observing when my mind drifts, or when I am doing a spin class at the gym, my mind drifts and I observe it ...

as for forgetting stuff, well yeah, when your mind races in hundreds of different trajectories all at once how are we ever to keep a thought in line?

this is quirky and fun, I like the pace and style, it just adds tou your words ... nice one E X

Ha, nicely done. I do this, despite the fact there are pens and notepads every six feet in my house.Even the act of thinking the word pen is sometimes enough to make any thought I had become shy and reclusive. And if it isn't that, it's walking into a room and forgetting why, then walking into other rooms to try to remember, only to forget which room I originally went into for the thing I have forgotten what or where it was :)
