three years

three years

A Chapter by hannah
"

poem about a personal experience with a friend

"
three years,

1,095 days,

56,940 weeks,

384,580 days

do you think that it's been easy?

three years of being teased,

being mocked, being bullied

over one thousand days of wishing i could get the hell out of here

over fifty-six thousand weeks of trying to escape this pain

i guess some things are meant to fall apart

you're pessimistic,

you hate shopping,

i'm a girly girl

and i like to look at the bright side

how did we become friends?

it's been three years of torture,

three years of biting my tongue

three years of trying not to cry

and guess what, guess what?

it's three years that are over now.

cause i'm gonna stand up,

i'm gonna speak up

i don't wanna have to deal with you

i'm gonna start to be the real me

three years
