missing you

last night, as i lay in bed
i thought of us
and what could have been

i played the songs
you once sang to me
the melody's
that caused tears to fall from my eyes

the memory's are so vivid
you smile so clear
your eyes so civil
but unknowing of the fact that it was almost over

maybe it had something to do with both of us
your constant lying
and my selfish ways
but i still dread these days
when im missing you.
