Dawn and sunset By Sami Khalil

And at the hour of manifestation;

All lights shed

All times shed

All tears shed

All thoughts shed

Greet the sunset of lamentation.

And at the hour of realization;

All lights shed

All times shed

All tears shed

All thoughts shed

Greet the sunrise of exultation.

Ah, the hour of realization......when everything becomes clear and we know where we should be headed. A write of enlightenment and empowerment. Lydi**

Wisdom with simplicity, Sami.

Personally, I am in reverse to the words of your poem; I rejoice at sunset and mourn at sunrise. For in moments of contemplation, the quiet and stillness of the night is my haven. Dawn, while beautiful, soon gives way to chaos and noise. And this probably explains why I do most of my writing after sunset. The mind relaxes and the thoughts and words flow unhindered by distraction.

Your repetition here is well applied to the changing statements in the openings to each stanza. With each day, we do shed many things, parts of ourselves, but we will always have another dawn and another sunset.

Another fine write, my friend.

Beautiful reflections of sunset and sunrise. Sunset is the calming part of the day for me, a slowing down, but sunrise, energises me and gets me going for the day. Thank you Sami.

well Sami you have gone and done it again- given us a sunrise and sunset of contemplation... too much lamentation if you ask me... but in the yin and yang of things each gives rise to the other

if I were going to tease you Sami, I would say your poem is bipolar, but we all know that when you write, even the sunsets are majestic...
