Faith

Yesterday and today

And probably forever

My heart would skip a beat

And time would seem to stall forever…

For not a single day has passed

When you have failed to cross my mind,

All my dreams surround you;

All emotions move around you!

As you are light in darkness…

You are warmth in harsh winters!

You add to my smiles;

You have always stolen my frown…

No matter how hard I try to get away

How hard I try to recall your sins against me

The radiance of your fake love

Always appears to shield the bitter truth!

I wonder why this bias?

Why can’t I see what is true?

Where has all rationality vanished!

Why is light of practicality so diminished?

Then I realize, the rosy picture of yours in my mind

Still stands tall and firm against all your sins

The power of mind surprises me then!

Human nature puts me on back foot!

Since my mind is governed by your thoughts;

What is true doesn’t appear to be true;

And what is false is always backed up,

By unending river of blind faith!

Love is blind is where you are. In love people are abused and disrespected, but it goes on because the love is still felt or the pain is to great to let go. Nicely done with beautiful flow. The love comes through even if painful.
