An Adventurous Child...

An Adventurous Child...

A Poem by Saumya
"

'sometimes when we sit and remember our childhood memories, they teach us many minute but precious principles to deal with life...these are some of them i discovered:)

"
Since the time I was a child,
i loved to gaze at the stars in sky,
their glitter, their shine , their spark
and the light,
filled me with huge delight..
and i always wondered,
what  made them shine so bright?

Since the time I was a child,
i loved to see the butterflies
pink, white, green, blue,
and some with beautiful stripes..
and i always wondered,
what  made these creatures fly?

Since the time I was a child,
i loved to see the rainboin  sky
i always waited for the heavy rains,
so that i could see it back again...
those seven colors
left me completely mesmerized,
and i always wondered,
what  imparted it,
such
immense beauty in the sky...

Since the time I was a child,
i loved seeing  birds
fly high in the sky..
and like all others
wished too,
to fly in the sky
and  always wondered,
why humans too, cannot
at least skid in the sky?...

Since the time I was a child,
i have been loving
every second of my life,
i try understanding and enjoying
everything around and nearby
and no matter how harsh is my life,
i live it like an Adventurous child
fighting with harshness,
every moment in it i survive...

for if you live life as a child,
you'll never know
what are worries and strife,
as they indeed aren't anything else,
but ' happiness in the form of pains disguised'
and as you walk on these stairs of life,
you'll somewhere clearly know,
that' you are the one who can create
everything for you, by the only  attitude
you have towards life'
and that will tell you what's life...

No matter people judge you today
to be wrong or right,
'always remember, that's never a full stop,
but only a comma of life'
live life like an Adventurous child
for a child never knows
what are worries, anger, rejection, and pain
all they know,
is to sail through life
and dance merrily,
even in storms and heavy rains..

they never care,
what people say is wrong or right
they only do what they think is right...
and this is why
they are always filled with
 cheer and delight...

This is amazingly good. The repetition, the content and arrangement of your stanze. Indeed, if this world is like a child, we will bear no grudge, no malice, no struggling, no killing, no bad would be inherited in us, because is not a product of childhood. But you see, my very good friend, Saumya, its never like that, not always. The world has grown oid and full of evil. But doing the right at the right time no matter what stand against would always make us smile and once more we become like a child. An Advanturous Child. Thank you so much for this poem.

It is not a surprise that it is said that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to the children. This is a beautiful rendition of the beauties and innocence of childhood, and the lessons as adults we can learn from them. Sadly, once we grow up, Life seems to throw her worst at us and we lose that childlike trust in the beauty around us and focus more on the ugly around us. This poem is a reminder that when we keep our hearts pure as a child's, we can withstand whatever Life throws at us. Beautiful poem!

thank you:)
This line, "i loved to gaze at the stars in sky," would read much better if you repositioned the word "the" - as in "i loved to gaze at stars in the sky," .. otherwise it is awkward to read. You may also wish to consider inserting a "to" in this, "that imparted it, such" .. e.g., "that imparted to it, such." There is a curious use of apostrophe also .. here, "but ' happiness " and here "that' you are the one who can create " -- it adds nothing and is not required in so much as I can see. (here too "'always remember, that's never a full stop,")

As for the rest, it's perfect and the message and form are beautiful. Well done! :)

thank you soo much Landred:) very glad you enjoyed this write:)
Through this poem you have not only expressed the innocence of a child but also the innocence & spirit which we lost in the process of being an adult. You took us through the beauty of nature & landed up with a moral for life that every one learn. The style of first four stanzas are also beautiful.

welcome :)
for if you live life as a child,
you'll never know
what are worries and strife,

true. But do you know the secret behind this happiness? honesty in dealing with the inner self. When we lie to the inner self for the first time, when we hide something, we start losing peace, because at that time the conflicts are born.

Childhood indeed is an imaginative phase. the size of childhood dreams determines how far a child would go in life.

very meaningful write.
Loved it dear Saumya :)

thank you soo much Sharon:) very glad you loved it and could relate:)
Stars, butterflies, rainbows... the best things in life are free, and we don't take the time to appreciate them as we should. Your poem is enlightening in more ways than one, Saumya!
