Push me down and I stand up even stronger

You are standing inches in front of me, yelling in my face, standing there like you are going to hit me.

You are hurting by telling me that it's a pity to have me as a daughter and by wanting to forbid my voice.


But I am not afraid of you or anyone. Push me down, and I stand up even stronger. I am not afraid of being hit, not even afraid of death. All my life, you've been cruel to me. I had to accept everything but the older I get, the less I am willing to accept all this.

See me leave from all this negativity. See me flourish with all my strength. I am not your daughter, never was.

Such strong, bittersweet writing. It's awful having to separate like this and cutting ties. But it's the right thing to do and the strength and hurt you fit in this is immeasurable. I love the last line, it's just full of so much power and bravery even if you're hurting. As I'm writing a story with an abuser in it, this was extremely, extremely inspiring to read. Obviously, if you can write your thoughts down like this and convey them so well that they are THIS intensely palpable, you're no disappointment, you're a master of a writer.

It is very sad when we separate with anger as last emotions shared..

Thank you once more for reviewing my writing! You are right, it is very sad to seperate on bad terms. Sometimes no common ground can be found and it is the healthiest to seperate yourself from the situation and the continously upcoming disappointments. Maybe someday time will prove different...
