OH Dear Lord!!!!!

Spirituality contest

OH DEAR LORD

 

hear my plea, dear lord above

and send this prayer, agape' (love)

to let all those who suffer

know people still care

who think they're alone

and that no-one is there

the ones who find themselves

without a home

for the mother whose struggling

to raise family alone

for the father whose burdens

are too hard to bear

yes lord please let them know

people still care

those who suffer from illness

who in constant pain live

those who have little

yet learned how to give

the children abused

through no fault of their own

the babys who grow

without ever love shown

those through mental illness

are left dazed and confused

those woman who've lost

and left feeling used

for the ones that grow weary

(the elderly stage)

lost their dignity and independence

merely due to their age

The hero’s who've died

and the families who mourn

for the lonely, the lost

the tattered and torn..

Please lord send this special prayer

to let those who suffer know

that people still care...

Very beautiful Rose. If only all of humanity felt this way, this world would not be in the shape that it is. People do suffer, so much pain and anguish flourishes in our society today and in our lives. If we would only take the time to be thankful for what we have and not expect more, to be kind to one another and understand that everyone is different and everyone has their own problems, we might be able to make a difference. Kindness, if used as a thread, can and will stitch this planet back together again. Very nice prayer, wonderful thoughts and a beautiful offering my sweet friend.

This is a lovely little prayer, Rose - You've written it beautifully. If only everyone would feels this way then maybe the world would be a better place, right? But sadly, our world is not perfect, people suffer, people are in pain and so much. Sometimes we are not as thankful as we should be. I think we should be thankful that we actually have a roof over our head and food to keep us going, a loving family, too. We should be kind to everyone (although it's hard sometimes, lol)

My father use to say "I felt sorry for myself because I had no shoes but then I met a man who had no feet" I have always carried that saying with me. No matter how dark things get I know I am blessed with so much more then many and there is always those that suffer so much more then we do daily. hugs, Rose
