Amidst Nature!

Amidst Nature!

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

The road was clean, green and long,
I didn’t know where it would lead,
But I know for sure,
This will lead to a beautiful place yet to be crowded,
Maybe this serenity, to man’s mental pressure will be a cure!

How I wish I could enter into this mystic thicket,
Where only me and myself is there
Surrounded by the sound of nature,
Discovering the world behind it,
Oh wow, my adventurous soul it will nurture…

Walking deep into the sylvan place,
Without looking back, I trekked and trekked and trekked,
The beautiful sound of the gushing waterfall
Filled my incisive ears,
“Huh” where am I? on good gracious heaven???
I sauntered forward, without any fears…

The pulchritude of nature, the sound of water
Ah ah! It flabbergasted my mind,
I stood there stunned,
Looking at god’s magnificent creation,
Man can never compete,
With this great foundation!

Seconds, minutes and hours passed
I stood there mesmerized,
Then all of a sudden I realized
I was lost amidst the water and trees,
Finally found my way back,
Even now, thinking of it would make my mind freeze!

The poem reminds me of Wordsworth!! Basking in the beauty of nature is something we miss these days !!
I remember this poem
What is this life if full of care

We have no time to stand and stare?

No time to stand beneath the boughs

And stare as long as sheep, or cows.

Your poem transported me to the lap of nature!

Nothing like a trek into the wilderness to set free the soul 'n mind.
I really enjoyed this write and the images you provided as a visual.
Reminds me of home in the mountains.

Beautiful, excellent imagery. The only problem is that now I feel bad about spending all day in a classroom :...(

You very nearly took me on this exploration with you.
The choice of words was great. The poem creates a very vivid picture of the scenery that you wanted to describe.
A b'ful read.

This poem it self created a picture in my head like wow man really can't compete with God because he made that structure so beautiful and how you described it made it just as clear.

You create such a sense of awe and wonder in your exploration! You take us on a journey into the beauty of nature, as well as the mystery of solitude. Beautifully done! (I walk to a river every day, and the peace that comes still amazes me... )

Very good description in this. I myself have though about going to a place like this, beautiful, alone; nothing or no one else to bother you. It's a great place to be, I think. Well done.
