I'm Longing ......

I'm Longing ......

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

When I wake up in the morning,

With fresh energy and mind,
I’m longing to see your photo,
For the first thing I see should be you.

When I feel the rays of the golden sun,
Spreading warmth all around,
I’m longing to feel the warmth of you,
Sending warmth down my spine and skin.

When I taste the sweetest berries,
Seeping the sweetness through the tongue,
I’m longing to taste the flavor of your lips,
Entangling me in the passion of your kiss.

When I hear the doorbell,
Waking my senses with its volume,
I’m longing it should be you,
Whose lovely face I could see.

When I look up at the stars,
Shinning down on earth,
I’m longing to see your eyes,
Ever shining and looking into mine!

When I fall deep asleep,
Resting my mind and soul,
I’m longing that you should be my dream,
For I don’t want to miss you even while sleep.

I could relate so well to this sense of longing.. that wondrous desire for the one you love to be with you. Beautifully expressed and wondrous to read.. and read again.

You write wonderfully romantic poetry and this is no exception .. it shows just how a person should feel every moment of the day or night.

'When I feel the rays of the golden sun,
Spreading warmth all around,
I’m longing to feel the warmth of you,
Sending warmth down my spine and skin.'

Beautiful!
