Jenny

Jenny

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

Jenny
Determination
s
  t
    retches
      andent lianas
   c
s
 her fingers muddied rivulets
               seeking
seeking deep purchase and probing deeper shades of
skototropism
avoiding sunlight she prefers
working in dim hours.
A heart sucking
warmed brown Earth that smells of wormrain
She's
        c   r   e   e   p   i   n   g
He
He's been fed too well the
Old Ways with
Fish and seaweed and teas of rare ambiguity :)
strong petioles hold hands without blister
he flourishes
                              until
Jenny.

Aaaagh! What is hiding in the vines that Dear Jenny the skototrope, climbs?? Flourish no more who-or-whatever you are! Can I say- Killer song (pun intended) & poem?-Yes! Brilliant in word use, ascending-descending form, creepy evocative imagery- everything! Great-read! Kudos!

You are welcome my friend.
How the earth binds it magic to create a a dark, deep shadowy hidey hole... til.. til.. another more vigilant finds where a once was another hides.. perhaps. Style pon style here, bends of language, a spell of spell. You instinctively know where to move forward or back.. side to side and above.. great writing, mesmerising.

Where did my review go? I gave this a long and I thought quite considered review. Talking about its merits, which are many and manifold. It structure which is remarkably appropriate. The fact that I had to, (though I do say so myself) resort to my trusty dictionary for that word and found it remarkably apropos. I also promised to nick it for my next missive. And finally I was impressed with the whole feel of horticultural romance poetry. As I said previously, remarkable, intense and intelligent.
