Wanting To Be Wanted

Wanting To Be Wanted

A Poem by KAREN
"

Dying to be loved!

"

she sits in a dark room,

     listening to the wind howl

the rain pouring on the tin roof

     thunder ecohes through the walls

     flashes of lightening blinds her

The agony she feels is suffocating her

she hears voices in her head telling her she's useless

     loneliness over powers her,

     she can't breathe

From the minute she was born....

     nobody loved her,

     nobody wanted her,

     nobody held her

she grew into a young lady,

hoping and praying, almost begging for love

but she is still empty, alone, without

     she is a woman now,

still waiting for the warmth of another person,

     still yearning to be wanted

her whole body is screaming for affection

     she wants to be free,

     to love

     for someone to love her,

     to hold her

     The despair grows stronger everyday,

     theres no escaping the pain

     nobody wants her,

she feels  like she's doomed to be alone

So here she sits in a dark room,

     listening to the wind howl

the rain pouring on the tin roof

     thunder echoes through the walls

     flashes of lightening blinds her

And the voices telling her she is useless

This is so so sad, but very good, very emotional.

Maybe your searching too hard, quit searching for love and let love find you dear.

This is not bad, it is not just okay, it is very very good.

The repeated use of the word "I" can be a freadful experience. However used in connection with describing depressive emotions it is entirely appropriate. Depression can fire grand written works. Especially when it moves into fictional themes as the unexpected means great writing. This poem is a howl of pain from depressive to the moon! Of course in Writers Cafe no one is alone. No one is unloved!
