5. Sarah’s Mom

I almost lost her. I almost lost my daughter, my everything. How could I have let this happen. I never imagined seeing her in a hospital bed. Looking at her she had so many bruises and cuts. She was damaged. I held her hand so tightly, I noticed a shirt wrapped around her wrists. I looked around making sure no one was around, I slowly unwrapped the shirt and my heart just sunk. I couldn’t believe it, she wasn’t damaged on the outside, she was damaged on the inside as well. “I’m fine mom, thanks” As I walked closer to her, I wrapped my arms around her tightly. “It will be okay.” “You promise?” I looked at her for a moment, I smiled, “I promise.” God I should have known something was wrong. I looked up at her, slowly got up, kissed her on the forehead. “I promise everything will soon be okay, I promise.”
