13. Max

“Whoah what’s going on?” I shot up out of my seat, looking over their shoulders. “She’s waking up.” We watched as her body remained still, her heart rate was back to normal. “This is a miracle. She’s fighting it.” Everyone started to cheer. I made my way to her side, I held her hand, watching her as she woke up. And there they were.. those stunning blue eyes that I adore. She looked at me and continued to look around. I quietly sat and waited for her to say something. “Max.. you really are here.” I chuckled and hugged her as tightly as I could, “I almost lost you” My voice cracked as I said that, but I didn’t care. She was alive… she was alive. I didn’t lose her and I hope I never do.
