How I'm feeling.

Why do I

Still cry

Tears of shame?

When

I must face

This part

Of my history.

Haven't I

Shed enough tears

To last a lifetime

Already?

Feeling guilty

For actions

Beyond my control

Or understanding.

Like I am

Carrying the world's

Weight and responsibility

Upon my frail shoulders.

Ready to collapse

At any moment.

Just wanting

A few moments

Of inner peace

For myself.

Knowing

How close

I am

To drowning

From these tears.

Therisa, we can only be who we are and we should never be ashamed of who we are. I know it is difficult, life in general is difficult, but obstacles are made to find a way over or around...just keep moving forwrad my friend. You poem is sad and heart breaking, but I know you can do it.

Therisa, you would be surprised at some of the things I have had to endure in my life. I am not saying that my experiences were more trumatic than yours, but they were pretty bad. And yes, I felt the pain and cried the tears, but you have just got to keep looking ahead.
