The Tide Pool

"
There, in the
tide pool, dappled by
the sun is birth and death,
and the spark that continues.
It leaves mankind in the wake of regret.
What have I to do with the albatross
Or sea lion?
I can but write, while they fly and roar.
I gaze upon the Pacific from this rock,
all its mysteries and grandeur.
I am inferior, while it forever reigns with
every wave and break of light.

You’ve written a great poem Thomas. I have spent hundreds of hours observing the great Pacific in all her moods and glories. I even lived amongst the Makkah on the very northwest tip of the continental U.S. Thank you for bringing me some memories.

The ocean was here before us and will be here long after, if only those waves could sing, what a song that would be..

Regrets are the albatross we carry along with us. But in the end, maybe we offset the regrets with positive feelings to die peacefully.

Thank you so much.
Yes, I guess we emerged and evolved from the tide pool,
and we can't fly or roar, but we've sure done a job on the Planet!
A Good Write, Thomas :)
