Single Tear

Single Tear

A Poem by Harley (arbiter)
"

Its bad when it hurts so much I can only cry a single tear

"

I've cried many tears in my life,

but none as true as this one.

It stands under my eye,

refusing to move or let me cry.

Things where finally looking good.

It failed and I should've known it would.

California to Arkansas;

long distance love is against the law.

It wasn't her fault,

and I should've thought.

Her dad doesn't like that;

the long distance contract.

He said no to our glee.

It would work but he doesn't see.

But one day, girl,

 I'll give you the world.

That's my promise to uphold.

If only the world wasn't so cold.

Amazing again, you have a really strong poetic voice! This was descriptive and gave me a picture of what you wanted to say, but it didn't throw a bunch of words at me either. Perfect! :)

Just beautiful. I had to read it more than twice, because I just loved it that much haha. The hardships one has to put through during a long distance love... Not at all easy. Well done!

I love it.

The words were so woven together like a knitted scarf, looks good, but is itchy. Basically it feels so real.
