People have always told me jealousy is an ugly trait but I believe everything has its time and place. A little jealousy is healthy... it's nice to know someone doesn't want to lose you... is willing to fight for you. Just my opinion. Everything in moderation.

A little bit of jealousy is a wonderful thing; it almost reassures you that you are loved and wanted… by friends, lovers or family members. Possessiveness really makes me angry...people are not property that you can claim to own. Anyone, in my opinion, who is possessive, has no real understanding of the value of people and relationships. I wouldn’t say possessiveness is another term for obsessiveness. Possessiveness has a negative connotation to it. Obsession doesn’t have that same negative connotation. Obsession, in my opinion, is much like jealousy. In that’s its okay in small doses.

You always says what your heart feels my friend and thats makes you great...love is a mutual understanding...and indeed not meant to be owned... well i could say Jealousy has many faces... it can be ugly or cute... nevertheless its excessiveness of it becomes possesiveness...i guess obsession and possessivenes has the same road though they tend to drift against each others road sometimes... so we will never know...thanks for giving much feedback on this write my friend...it made me think this little booklet has a chance of continuing...

Actually I was just discussing this with a member of my family, I somewhat agree, a little bit of jealousy is healthy, and normal I think, I would be worried if my significant (had I one) other was not a wee bit green from time to time, it shows he still finds me desirable as well in the eyes of another. But excessive possessiveness,
imho, is not a great thing at all...the very word shouts ownership, lovers don't own each other, they choose to share...I think each should try hard not to put themselves into a situation that might be questionable.

I agree with what you say. It's cute, yes but it's a different kind of cute. It's cute on the outside yet can be very deadly and limb tearing emotion that can destroy everything. I admit that I too have been jealous but I didn't like what I did of it.

I agree with the concept but not the choice of wording, jealously is not cute in the slightest it is a very ugly emotion, that taints even the most loving and wonderful of people and warps them into manipulative creatures that can become very vengeful.
