I've grown tired of labels in life

Are you White

Are you Black

Are you Asian

Are you Green

There are so many labels in life

Are you Muslim

Are you Jewish

Are you Catholic

Are you Agnostic

They continue to put labels in life

Are you a homeowner

Are you a renter

Are you in an apartment

Are you in a house

They're driving me insane labels in life

Are you Democrat

Are you Republican

Are you Green

Are you Independent

What does it mean in the big scheme of things????????????????

Nothing at all as the only label that matters is

HUMAN

Ya, I have trouble with labels too. Seems to be some comforting thing, let's us feel in control, but really shrinks the world we see.

So raw, honest and I agree. We label way too much like it somehow matters when it doesn't at all and if anything it creates a negativity ! The media is completely wrong in its reporting adds so much fuel to a fire that could be so easily extinguished ...everyone could benefit from reading write!!

That's real and that shows that no matter what label you are does not make you perfect because we are all human beings which always matters in the eyes of the lord.

We all have faults and failure and challenges in life, but a good human will make the effort to treat others with dignity, respect and compassion. As is said "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you". I do not equate this as a religious issue, but a human issue.

I agree 100%!!! I think some people use labels in hope of understanding and comprehending the world. However, the labels only have negative impact and cause so much conflict. Wonderful writing.
