Prison

Prison

A Poem by Samantha Scythe
"

Not really meant to be super good, just a one-shot, no edits. Yes, this is all real and true about myself.

"
Whenever I look in the mirror
I can't see what I really look like
Body Dysmorphia

It hurts me
I won't eat for days at a time
Tea, coffee, water and pills
Until I'm satisfied

I haven't been satisfied for two years
Since I was twelve
Anorexia
Bulimia

Depression
Self harm

I don't deserve this
I never have
I want to be freed
From this prison I am in

It's the poems that express exactly what's on our mind that pack the most impact. I wish the best for you to keep fighting on, don't let anyone or anything get you down, love yourself, because EVERYONE on this god damn planet is BEAUTIFUL...sounds so cliché but I truly believe that. Keep fighting, never give up, it's a positive attitude that enables us to get through things :)

All of these sociatal diseases that prey. If these words are true I shall pray for your recovery.

Hang in there hun, you've got a beautiful mind and a beautiful soul that's all that should matter, no matter how pretty people are they can be ruthless and cruel. I'm sure you're gorgeous and I can't wait to read more from you, this poem is well written, the topic poignant but inspirational because you want to be cured you want hope and that's pretty amazing of you to admit. < 3 Keep on keeping on :)

The poem is very good, but I pray that you find the strength to conquer the demons that keep you in this prison.

A very sad poem. I'm very sorry to hear that you have that condition. As for the poem itself though, it was fairly well written.

I know exactly what you mean--I still suffer from dysmorphia; I had it really bad in my teens. Nowadays I've still got it, and I can't fix it; I just struggle to keep my mind on other things, and forget about myself
