Learning To Be Human 

I cradle a restless soul, tonight. 
It's searing hot and white, 
it burns and ends up in smoke 

with every next person who 
tries to stoke it up a bit. 

And each silver lining 

that peaks through the 

ever-gray clouds of my life 

turns to dust. 

I've always been a pyromaniac, 
set my heart ablaze,
fell too close to the fire,
and caught myself in that haze.

Braced against my own demons,
I compete with no one else...
the fire within burns me to plastic,

and I am lost within the tune 
my wayward mind plays.

Now I'm starting to feel again,
with every nerve amazed,
I am a monster reborn;
a melted wall for a Phoenix craze,

'til I collapse with bare emotions,
and watch my heart ignite again.  

Yeah, I am a monster reborn,
learning to be human again.

Through the fire we are purified- we burn we learn- the embers glow with glory- dont know uf being human is such a good thing- it traps you in flesh and your spirit aches to be set free but in human form it watches from a different height out of sight- id rather take my form as an angel- not hidden in the flesh- deep and honest are your words facing truths that u need to face- well written- once we face and accept theres room for
