I Miss You

another short poem. enjoy!! =D

After all the time,

we've spent together,

I can't stand to see you leave,

but you had to move on.

So, I want you to know,

that since you've gone,

I can't sleep,

all i can do is think,

about what we did,

and the fun we had.

And since you're gone,

I'm always trying to think,

of a way to get you back,

but nothing works,

because you've already moved on,

and gotten over me.

I always prayed that you'd come back,

but my prayers weren't answered.

Just please don't forget me,

because I don't forget you.

And no matter what,

I'll always miss you.

Bella Rose, you've written a remrkably beautiful poem, please see that. This past Friday we turned off the ventilator for my father after a tragic accident. The funeral was yesterday. You might as well have taken the words right out of my heart. I love him more than anyone else, he was my best friend. And for the most part this poem says exactly what I feel, even if you weren't writing about death. So thank you, Bella Rose, for helping me feel like I'm not alone in this terrible time of grief.
