                        Promises and a miracle

Your soft hands in my hands.

Us together upon the soft bed.

You smell of Summer flowers and we do not speak.

We knew.

Love didn't need words.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

                   A miracle

Upon a Summer day,

with youth as our wealth,

I saw you and you saw me.

No words spoken and somehow.

We twisted-up our two lives, forever.

You became my wish and a prayer.

We became one for a time and we had the Summer and the Fall.

You were a miracle to me,

forever and a wonderful place to find in kind memory.

like Pablo Neruda you can feel the passion coursing, coursing , then the final twist, which like Neruda was not a twist at all but just a summation. I suspect that if love was to be incapsulated, loose into a summers breeze, this is how it would feel against your skin.You always write so beautifully.....dana

So true, love rarely needs words, when our deeds do the speaking, though I've discovered over the years that we need to learn to verbalize it :)

there are many promises but broken along the way but it will take one miracle in a lifetime to realize the value of someone and realizing that not all things go in your way but in that one short moment, there was a feeling of elation
