Food for thought here...deceptively rhythmic, rhyming and minimalist, you skillfully confront us with the opposing concepts of destiny vs free will.Hmmmmmm. Can we at least choose our own songs from the book? Kudos Gee!
I feel less responsible for my state after reading this thoughtful poem. All is not my will and I did not chose some of the things that came my way. I love this brief & beautiful write.
Gee - you may not know this about me but I am a swinger ! Yep ...a swinger.
I swing between thinking that I am master of my own fate then Life smacks the back of my bare legs - making me cry and reminding me that fate is in charge. So what to do?
I do like the idea that the fates are having fun at our expense though - it kind of makes me feel less bad about calling them those names I use sometimes.
I like this succinct but heartfelt piece.

You're a cheeky wee monkey my little green clad friend. Cheers mate
And a rather good oldie it is. I can emphasise with the idea that we are fooled into thinking that our destiny is our choice. One sometimes wonders how free our free-will is! I enjoyed this little poem. I can now get on with the chores on remote control!

Ain't that what Sunday's are for....thank you, have a good day
Far from simple as it gets one to think. Life as a book of songs but which to choose, love, punk, heavy metal, jazz? A mix? But indeed we can choose some part of the path but fate often us the road dug up and sends us one or two diversions!
