The Joy of Spring

The Joy of Spring

A Poem by Dave

                                  The Joy of Spring
Come to me in the joy of Spring, sun shining, birds singing
your laughter in my ears, such sweet music for the heart.
Holding hands, we move together to the blooming beauty of
abundant, brilliant flowers in vast array along our quiet path.
You let me place a bright yellow buttercup behind your ear,
your face lights with a glowing smile and warms my heart.
The joy of Spring is in your eyes, flashing so bright a blue,
ruby red lips are puckered for a soft kiss for you and I do.

How creatively you present the freshness of spring and romance together as one. In my mind, they are hard to separate, and elevate our spirits to the sky. A lovely read.

Incredibly romantic Dave. Your words are certainly warming. Spring is positively my favourite season of the year. Still waiting for it to arrive though.

I looove Spring too. Still a bit cold here though -

i remember doing things like this...back when love was young, innocent and felt with reckless abandon.
we didn't understand that flowers wilt, that relationships would end in heartbreak...we just loved like there was no tomorrow.

You bet!!

This might be the first time in my life I didn't think about the first day of spring! But I can see by your poem that you are FILLED with the bright observations of a promising new season! Keep it up, buttercup! Always nice to watch you weave together the sensations of the season with your often-burgeoning romantic tendencies! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie
