Memoria

Memoria

A Poem by Robin
"

Hearts in place

"
A lullaby of an Irish river

where crickets sing their dreams

of a girl and her song ..

of rebellion

and a man with a burning spear

a drum and a horn

cries for the forgotten

names that rest in shadows past

those who lived in the name of

Freedom

I don't comment on structure and delivery, only emotion, which is what I love about poetry, and, fact is, I'm no expert. What I will say is I love what you have to say :) My grandfather was from Ireland. I loved him dearly. Your poem touched my heart!

brave heart meets an Irish spring commercial either way i am definitely cleaned and respectful with the ghost you must bribed with flesh to get to the bottom of this Celtic knotted piece...well penned

Oh, I love the way this poem seems to blend the present time with the freedoms of the past, as if our ancestors are crying out to us, or more precisely to a girl who hears the song of crickets. Rebellion and freedom in the song of a cricket.
