Taste This Knife...

Taste This Knife...

A Poem by Rossen

Beat poem ~ Best read "OUT LOUD" inspired by (Poppy Silver)

"
Beautiful deep red cellophane, pulled tightly to her lovely brain
looking up again, white out baby, white out
lips pursed... razor tongue tattoo
fire starting lenses flare
now she looks at you

Powder white perky and tight
she set's you ablaze tonight

soft and gentle soothing and kind,
someone to love, to love, to love
she takes you under-wing
melds a loss, feels your sting

listen to her ways of warning
she is on the mark, she is, she is...
please hear her rebel sway...
share her love, save the day

full of life, so cut by strife
sharpest edge, taste this knife

rhyme and pine for her, so faraway
skinny-dip in silver streams
on pillows to lay, opium dreams
colorful blooms give her away, away...

As usual Rossen, your words and rhythm are mesmerising. Certainly testy, don't know about fun!?

This one feels like a River. Slow, fast, a little choppy, always in motion.
Nice rhyme and word structure.

Very good to me!

Such fun to read, my ears say thank you...you have created a vision of a strong, beautiful and possibly dangerous woman.

There was an overpowering musical edge to this piece...the words bobbed me along and set my into the heart of the story to be told.

Fantastic friend!

mellifluous, rolls of the tongue into the mind's ear, and there it is interpreted manyfold.

Man you need to pod cast this piece; I love the flow in it, with the dark and playful feel...
