wishy washy

wishy washy

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

open minded or too flexible?

"
You always said I was
wishy washy.

Funny, you are the only
man I ever met
to complain about
my flexibility.

I watch,
I learn,
I absorb.

What I believed yesterday,
I may not see today.
I was built to meet others
half way.

I may dislike you,
but if you have a valid point,
I will take it into
consideration ...

am I this
or am I that?

I am neither,
I am both.

I am always willing
to see
what's on the other
side of the equation.

You think that made me
a liar --
wishy washy.

I think it makes me
me.

I like the honest feel in the poem.
"You think that made me
a liar --
wishy washy."
You gave wishy washy reason and purpose. I don't know. A flexible woman is rare. All my daughters and wife are mountains. Hard to move. I would like a woman willing to move and flex. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. Dear Poet, you made me laugh this morning.

Politicians like to throw that particular mud pie at each other if someone dares to change their positions. I happen to consider it a strength. We are supposed to learn and grow in this life. You stagnate and become irrelevant if you don't admit you may be wrong and adjust your thinking when new information comes to light.
This is a great poem with real self-reflection and insight. Beautiful, KLG!

Thanks so much. Glad you picked up on the politics, having come from a meeting, I felt it apt.
