dragons for breakfast

dragons for breakfast

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

it's a long story

"
I was a vegetarian
nearly half my life,

I woke up one day
and had a dragon
for breakfast.

That was the day
you realized
I had checked out.

I can only imagine how delightfully unique the experience was for you.
I'm thinking, "poor dragon", but he barbecued many a meal prior to your breakfast of dragon sushi I think.
BRW, it is best to eat a dragon raw I have found, as long as it is fresh... Just saying. ;)

Oh, stock up on Tums!

Brilliant. To prevent the heartburn of course. Thank you.

Yes, also, may want to take prophylactic antibiotics and an anti-parasitic as well.
There is tongue in cheek humor here...and a bit of sarcasm. I liked it a lot. Lydi**

Oh, most definitely. Thanks, glad you liked.
I can only imagine that a dragon's meat would be incredibly rough, and probably have it's own natural spice. However, being a fan of living dragons I cannot condone eating them, especially since they are intelligent creatures. =P But anyway, I liked the humor in this one. Kind of laced with a little bit of self critique I think, but we all check out from time to time as a coping mechanism of sorts.

And of course, you understand, and thank you for your ever inspiring presence here, Jacob.
I marvel at your wit and intelligence. Yes, I do believe you have the strength to eat dragons for breakfast!

Thanks, I know you get it by your review.
I had to read this two or three times before I knew what I was going to say. I love the bold visual of eating dragon for breakfast. You are a strong, independent woman. She who can swallow dragon, can take on anything ex's can muster. You Go, girl! It takes a moron to marry a vegetarian lady and turn her into a fire-breathing dragon consumer, but he did it! I bet he still feels the flames on his backside! Well played, my friend. Very much enjoyed and I am placing it into my favorites category....so I can reread it again later....Thank you, K

Yay. Now you, my friend, absolutely nailed the meaning of this piece.
I know that fruit . I just ate one out of curiosity. It tasted like a Kiwi and a little of a water chest nuts. I don't know what " I checked out " means. Perhaps graduated from being a vegetarian maybe? But maybe its a little bit wild and daring to take on a dragon instead of trying a pork or chicken first while transitioning ?

Insane in the membrane… with life being so hectic we sometimes wind up doing things we never thought we would… is that called gong crazy or having courage to step outside our comfort zone?
