Beyond My Hollow Soul

Just wanted to say how i feel

I grasp onto to the power within 

my words may seem thin'

but they have meaning 

a story of the heart '

an indulgence to my soul

 

so i pay the toll 

to speak freely'

words get jumbled and feels like no one really hears me'

i cry my eyes out because it may be difficult

i stutter and stumble like the words coming out of my mouth

But then the time comes when i have a realization '

A thought'

A feeling'

A hope for a dream

To stay grounded

Grounded

To life 

To meaning 

Of the words that 

That exist within

Beyond my hollow soul

People don't care what i say

But i struggle anyway'

Anyway i can grasp

The life that exists in the words of the page'

And beyond that to

The self that lays bleeding'

Bleeding away'

The true intention'

my meaning...

You have no idea how hard I am fangirling right now. Like I swear I'm completely freaking out about how beautiful and amazing and aposiedjgfoaidfshjgujbewsgp[oiuahg.

Give me a minute. I need to gather my thoughts..

Right. Well. Umm. WOW. That spacing made this poem so amazing. Your writing and thoughts put into ink like that is so deep and powerful. And then when you present it so perfectly.... I am blown away. I don't know what in the world to say.

Your feeling of loss and hopelessness. How it's like your voice isn't being heard. How even though everything seems to be against you, you're still fighting....

Really I think that's what's really amazing about you're writing. You have so much potential. You're the kind of writer that has the potential to grasp hearts and soul and crush them. To make them bleed from the pain. To connect with you and then be destroyed. And you do that a little.

You require your reader to understand. You tell them the truth of how you're feeling and you let them empathize with the pain and the loss and the sorrow. But then instead of crushing them you let them stay there. You tell them that you're strong enough to get through. And that despite the fact that you're bleeding away you will keep going.

And you know what that does? I makes the reader hurt but in themself. That they could've done more. That they're not doing more. That they aren't helping. And that makes it even that much more powerful. And it really sticks with the reader because you reached inside of them and you didn't do anything. You don't blame them. You don't plead for them to help. You don't do anything. You just say "This is how it is." And just naturally it makes us crumble....

Wow. Sorry I wrote something so long. I've go through a lot of long dark times so I relate a lot to what you're saying and I especially appreciate a writer who can so beautifully captivate those emotions and reveal them to the world.

I love the way you constructed the words and sew them altogether just to express what it is you feel.
I am positive lots of people who are going through struggles and challenges - as we are - can connect to the feelings you conveyed.

I also love the contrasting lines you used, like: ' i pay the toll to speak freely'

yes it was very hard to write but i had to say it. it pleasures me deeply that you connected to the words that i have written i feel i change so often as a person it very hard for me and for a lot of people to connect with me i am glad that my words have touched you in some small way and that i hope it helps people realize they are not alone in these kinds of feeling of desperation.
