This is such a beautifully constructed poem. Love the flow. You present your readers with some searching questions. I used to wrestle with these questions all the time.. so often I would drive myself insane from it. I finally resolved that death was a natural cycle of rebirth, and left it at that. Great job!

no worries, Frieda.. I think I miss some from time to time too =)
Already in a pondering mood, and reading this has given me plenty to ponder. I imagine that death tastes sweet to some, and bitter to others - just as Life does. Excellent piece, Frieda.
Death is the thing that terrifies me. Do we cease to exist? Or will we exist eternally short of heaven? My husband always says, well if I die and there's nothing after - it wont matter because I won't know and although I can't argue with his logic - it gives me no peace.
This is a resonant poem.

Not me, I think living is a helluva lot scarier than death could ever be, thanks TL.
Dear goodness, what an extraordinary analysis, a thought progress n.s.e. and w of every direction a mind could go!
What a day to read this because for sure i know what it looks like. I've a feeling it tastes of pure flowing honey, a silent release, a relief into .. your '.. infinitesimal flecks ~ endlessly ephemeral,..'
Hmmm. Good question, what does death taste like ?
Well my dear lady, I think you gave us all an image of that.
Perfectly poetic on such a thought provoking piece.
You certainly tickled my taste buds.
Loved it :)
and there it comes after a long day journey
as the sun goes down comes a long night, peaceful dreams
you close your eyes one more time ,and you had your eternal peace
no more worries or sadness, from here its total abandon, after long struggles
all ups and down ,now you lie on a flat ground, everything sounds so easy there
none will knock your door ,not anymore, like gone on pension,no more headaches
or sleepless night,no nightmares, its a sound sleep, funny you will never see a sunset again
thats what i will miss most..
lovely write..

Your review is poetry bluessadmood, thank you muchly....
Some of the questions which have taunted us since the beginning of time. What do experience or feel in the last moments of life and after. Besides what we are feeling from the impending cause of death..is there something else. Fear...peace...tranquility ....rushed release of spirit...the presence of impending judgement? We simply don't know. I imagine it is different for each person.... this is very thought provoking though!

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
